MetaBrite Receipt Scanning AppMetaBrite’s receipt scanning app is a product that allows users to digitize a receipt by simply snapping a photo with their phone. Coupon and shopping reward companies use MetaBrite's app to give customers rewards for buying certain products. A custom camera UI was designed to guide the user while taking photos as high quality photos led to more accurate product identification, benefiting both the users and MetaBrite. Search and barcode scanning features were created to allow users to verify items that the system could not identify. User testing was done before and after the initial release, allowing the product to become more intuitive and accurate.

CookBrite Meal Planning AppCookBrite was a mobile app designed to help a busy household get dinner on the table using ingredients already in the home. I was brought on by the founders to help define the initial user experience through wireframes, visual mockups, and user flows. As the start up company obtained funding and the team grew, I collaborated with developers and designers to fully flesh out the designs, interfaces, and interactions. I created user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, visual design mockups, graphic assets and specifications as we reviewed and iterated on the initial work. The app was continually optimized based on user data, user feedback, and technical requirements.

MoneyBrite Expense Tracking AppMoneyBrite was designed to be a practical, beautiful and intuitive tool that incentivized people to track their spending. Users could see where, when, and how they were spending money. Daily giveaways provided an incentive to scan receipts and keep users engaged with the app. Reports could be exported for expense reports or tax reports. Based on past shopping trips, the app would predict how much a shopping list would cost at nearby stores. I created user flow diagrams, wireframes, visual design mockups, and an investor presentation for MoneyBrite. Prototype's were also created for usability testing and gather feedback from stakeholders.

Luminous Website and BrandingLuminous was a product of MetaBrite that delivered detailed consumer purchasing data to manufacturers and research companies. Design thinking sessions were held to develop the branding characteristics, critique competitor websites, and develop personae. I designed the logo, website, business cards and other branding materials based on the insights gathered from those sessions.

MetaBrite Website and BrandingSignificant product enhancements provided an opportunity to revamp MetaBrite's website and marketing. Design thinking sessions were held to revisit personae and the company's core customers. Insights from these sessions led to a more product focused approach to the website, trade show booth, and marketing materials. Content discussing the need for quality consumer data was retained as customers often came upon MetaBrite while trying to fill that need.

Internal Software ToolsIn order to facilitate the processing of receipts, several internal software tools were built at MetaBrite. Ideas were sketched out after observing and interviewing staff to understand current workflow problems. I then collaborated with developers, product owners and internal staff to create solutions that removed complexity and improved accuracy.
